Movie Night with TDWHarris

In honor of Women’s History Month, join TDWHarris for a movie night on Friday, March 29th, when we will watch RBG, the Academy Award-nominated documentary about the life and career of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

RBG was chosen by the National Board of Review as the Best Documentary Film of 2018, and nominated for several other awards, including the BAFTA Award for Best Documentary.

Bring a box/bag of your favorite movie candy or snack to share, and TDWHarris will provide the popcorn!

RSVP here.

March 25th Membership Meeting

We will be joined by Sam Zuniga, Harris County Democratic Party Field Manager, who will speak to us about the 2018 midterms, and the Party’s plans for 2019 and 2020.

Then we will hear from Texans Against Gerrymandering. Politicians on both sides of the aisle use gerrymandering to ensure their party’s success in elections. It is time to put the drawing of district lines into independent, non-partisan hands. We will describe how to change the status quo and what you can do to help! Join us in the effort to enact redistricting reform in Texas.

See the event detail on our Facebook page.

February 25th Membership Meeting

February is Black History Month. TDWHarris is celebrating by inviting a panel of the Black women who were elected to seventeen judicial positions in Harris County in November 2018.  Their success has been the subject of many news articles across the nation, and many of these judges have appeared on national TV.

Join us to hear the panel members tell about the long road that they traveled to accomplish this great achievement and what their election means to the women of Texas.
