She is a graduate of Yale Law School and Harvard University.

Harris County Clerk Diane Trautman and Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector & Voter Registrar Ann Harris Bennett will talk to us about voting and elections in Harris County and the changes they have implemented since being elected to help make voter registration and voting easier and more accessible, including their plans for the future.
Join us at our monthly regular meeting on August 26, 2019. Local activist and educator Lou Weaver will join us to teach us about the different sexual orientations and gender identities encompassed by the LGBTQIA+ umbrella, including the unique and shared struggles of these communities and how those of us who are not members of the community can show our support.
Lou is a queer transgender man and a leader in Houston’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community. With trans healthcare as a key component of his advocacy portfolio, he has helped educate healthcare providers and medical student groups on culturally competent care for the LGBTQ communities.

The Pride Forum is a non-partisan collaboration between LGBTQ+ organizations to engage candidates for public office in discussions about policy proposals and candidate positions and their impacts on the LGBTQ+ community. The first Pride Forum will be welcoming candidates for Houston City Council District C. A social mixer will begin at 6:30 pm and the official forum program will start at 7 pm.
