Our mission is to educate and motivate women to become more involved in the political process so that women’s voices are heard. We plan local political activities, support our community, and discuss current events and legislation from a woman’s perspective. Our ultimate goal is to have more progressive women elected to public office.
Women Making History 2026
The Texas Democratic Women Harris County Metro Area Chapter is hosting our Annual Women’s Luncheon this year on Saturday, September 19, 2026, again at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Houston Hobby Airport. We will be honoring women who are fighting for the injustices so many are suffering during these troubled times. We want to highlight their hard work and commend their dedication.
We are each being called, drawn, even compelled to stand, organize and let our actions trumpet our resolve. Let’s honor those that are answering the call. Please submit nominations for the Harris County women you know of who are deserving of this year’s Women Making History Award! Nominations should include the nominee’s contact information and a brief biography or description of why she deserves this year’s award.
